My Therapy Approach. Teal tiles

As a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor with a wealth of life experience to bring to our therapeutic relationship, my approach is rooted in person centred values and a blend of person centred, gestalt and transactional analysis techniques. I am particularly drawn to Gestalt therapy and the emphasis on the importance of the body, feelings and the present moment.

I offer a confidential, safe, empathic and non judgemental environment for clients to explore whatever issues are troubling them at their own pace. My aim is to give the client an opportunity to increase awareness of what they do well, and how they get stuck.

I respect my clients as the best experts on themselves. My focus is always on individual experience, and I work phenomenologically. I believe that integrative counselling sessions offer clients a breathing space where they are free to experiment with being themselves and with relating spontaneously, in the present moment. Having a fresh look at their situation allows clients to see more clearly the possibilities for developing creative solutions to their issues, and can enhance wellbeing, contentment and personal happiness.

I offer a choice of short term counselling (usually 6 - 18 sessions) to look at a specific issue or longer term therapy in which we will explore your underlying patterns of behaviour and emotional difficulties in more depth. Please don't hesitate to email or phone me on Tel.: 07740167551 to discuss what option may suit your counselling needs best.
