How can I help you
I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and Certified Grief Recovery Specialist with a private practice in Kemptown, Brighton, East Sussex, a short walk from Brighton Marina
A lot of men struggle with expressing their emotions. I offer integrative counselling and / or an evidence based Grief Recovery Method to enable men in Brighton & Hove and London to heal a broken heart and recover from their grief, so they can enjoy fulfilling relationships, living lives with passion, resilience and the confidence to be themselves in this time of increasing loneliness.
We all need a helping hand at times in order to overcome life's challenges. You may feel pressure to be strong and not display any signs of weakness, knowing when you need help can be a sign of strength, and is often the start of a journey towards healing and improved well-being. As a trained counsellor I can address some of the myths of loss which include
* don't feel sad
* Replace the loss
* Grieve alone
* Time is a healer
* be strong
* keep busy
At times it can feel as though no one really understands you or listens with genuine concern, leaving you feeling isolated and disconnected from the people and world around you. You may experience feelings, thoughts and emotions or even physical symptoms for no obvious reason. This is where confidential, caring and professional help could be the answer.
I offer a sensitive, honest, and collaborative counselling relationship where you can:
* talk about your thoughts and feelings
* feel heard and understood
* explore your difficulties
* find patterns and make connections
* form new perspectives
* develop a greater understanding of yourself and your issues
* form better relationships with yourself and others
* work out new ways to deal with your problems and live a more fulfilling life
* experience self compassion and increased self acceptance.
